My dear spiritual friend,
No man can serve two masters. Whom do you serve? Flesh (Satan) or the Holy Spirit?
In our spiritual meditation, we may reflect on God's words:
"Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want."
- (Galatians 5:16–17)
The truth—Lord Jesus Christ—applies to all Christians in their personal lives today. Apostle Paul's plea is for believers not to waste their freedom in Christ by serving their own flesh and selfish desires. Instead, he has told those who are free in the Lord Jesus Christ to serve one another in love.
Apostle Paul is describing "a life of self-sacrifice lived out in response to God's love for us" (Galatians 5:13–15). He begins to describe how to live in this way. After all, this kind of love does not come naturally. Not only do we resist giving up our own way, we often simply do not know how to love. Without the rules of the law to guide every decision, how will we use our freedom in Christ to love one another?
Paul points to the only source of power and wisdom beyond ourselves: the Holy Spirit of God. He revealed earlier in this letter that the Holy Spirit comes to live in the hearts of every one of God's sons and daughters (Galatians 4:6).
Now Paul tells us to use this freedom in Christ to access the power of God's Spirit in our hearts in our everyday lives. He tells us, literally, to walk—and keep on walking—by the Spirit's power and guidance. Again, the picture Paul paints is about setting aside our own power and relying on God's.
In the same way we could not fulfill the law by our own effort, Paul tells us to stop trying to serve one another in love by our own strength. The Spirit of God in us is available and willing to help us.
Yes, this is a mysterious idea, but it's also how people who are free in Christ avoid giving in to the desires of the flesh. It's how we overcome strong appetites to do what feels good, even if that thing is sinful. In the Holy Spirit's power, we can say no to ourselves.
God’s words in Romans 12:1–2 teach us strongly and clearly how we must live our daily lives:
"As a living sacrifice
12 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."

My Dear Spiritual Friend,
Today let us meditate on God's words:
Galatians 5:17 — "For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh."
and
Romans 8:13 — "For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live."
Of course I believe we all struggle with sin because we live with a double nature: the old (what Paul calls the flesh) and the new (the Spirit) (Galatians 5:17; Romans 8:13).
This means that if you live according to your sinful nature, you will die; but when the Lord Jesus starts living inside you, the power of the Holy Spirit will enable you to overcome your sins, and you will live.
But it is possible that by living according to God’s will, by loving one another, and by serving God faithfully , we can reach a point of maturity and total readiness for the Lord Jesus .
We become more and more who God created us to be and whom He saved us to be — saved from sin to walk in righteousness, to experience the life of Christ , life in full abundance.
“May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely,” purge you from sin, and draw you into holiness. “May your whole spirit, soul, and body,” every part of you, “be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ .”
God is the God of peace because He has restored our relationship with Him. If Christ hadn’t come or we hadn’t been saved, we wouldn’t have peace with God.
Lord Jesus Christ has come and restored our relationship with God the Father, so that now we love God and want to serve Him. It is God who has made this possible. He is the God of peace.
And because He has saved us, He will also make us live holy lives—sanctify us. That’s what Paul is saying here.
Because God has saved you, He will make you holy, sanctify you. The word “completely” here means that God will make us holy throughout our lives and to the very end.
There is not one part of our lives that isn’t for the Lord .
God's words, Romans 12:1–2, teach us how we must live daily — our lives as a living sacrifice:
1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will.
Our whole lives must be lived holy for the Lord .
Believers' spirit, soul, and body will be preserved complete — not meaning that we won’t die a physical death, but that we would be without sin inside (our spirit and soul) and outside (our body), that we would be without blame when the Lord Jesus Christ comes.
My Beloved Friend,
Let us pray and strive to live every day in complete holiness, following and practicing God's Word (Rom. 12:1–2).

"GOD ONLY HELPS THOSE WHO HELP THEMSELVES"
AMEN. Helping oneself never means that one can save oneself; it is 100% impossible for man. It is only through believing, being crucified, and resurrected with Lord Jesus Christ that one can be saved. Today, let us meditate on God's Word — Philippians 2:12: "Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure."
Yes, it is our own responsibility to get ourselves away from the defilement of sin, especially the sin of false teachings, greed for money and fame, and sexual immorality and related addictions.
The simple message of mine today is that God uses cleansed people, who are defined by two characteristics:
1) True & Faithful
2) True & Obedient
God uses cleansed people who flee from sin and pursue godliness. Apostle Paul is saying that no one should be a vessel for dishonor. To put it another way, he is saying that God isn’t going to use a garbage-pail life to serve the pure Gospel to a hungry world . Even so, God isn’t going to use dirty lives to serve the Good News of Lord Jesus Christ to the world. Rather, God uses cleansed people.
You must choose the type of vessel you will be. Clearly, Paul is presenting us with a choice: Do you want to be a gold or silver vessel, used for honor, or will you be a cheap clay pot, used for dishonor?!
God's words Romans 12:1–2 strictly and clearly teach us how we must live our daily lives—as a living sacrifice to the Lord Jesus by the renewal of the mind.
"Live as a living sacrifice of the Lord."
12 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.
May God's blessings of grace and mercy be upon us.

My Dear Spiritual Friend,
Today let us meditate on our Lord Jesus Christ'sβοΈπποΈ teaching:
"Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them—I will show you what he is like. He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock." — Luke 6:47-48
In this parable, Lord Jesus ChristβοΈ describes one who hears His words and does them as a man who, when building his house, digs his foundation deeply and lays it upon rock. When a flood threatens it, the house remains intact on its secure base.
My dear friend, I understand that the Lord Jesus's metaphor in the parable is apt: "A man's character is like a house."
Every thought is like a piece of timber in that house, every habit a beam, every imagination a window, well or badly placed. They all gather into a unity, handsome or grotesque. We decide how that house is constructed.
Unless one builds his character on the rock-solid foundation of God's Word πβοΈποΈ, he will surely be swept away by the flood now inundating the world.
As 1 Corinthians 3:11 says:
"For no one can lay any foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ."
Of the two builders in the parable, one is a thoughtful man who deliberately plans his house with an eye to the future; the other is not a bad man, but thoughtless, casually building in the easiest way. The one is earnest; the other is content with a careless and worldly, unexamined life.
The latter seems to want to avoid the hard work of digging deep to ensure a strong foundation, and also takes a short-range view, never thinking what life will be like six months into the future. He trades away future good for present pleasure and ease.
The flood obviously represents the trials of life. Frequently, the trials of life descend upon us either through our own lack of character or because of events in the world around us. Is our house strong enough to withstand the onslaught of the horrendous events of the end time? Can it even withstand our own weaknesses? Hear and act.
A. Dig deep.
1. Foundation on rock.
2. Life is secure in the fiercest storms.
a. Storms will come.
THOSE WHO HEAR BUT FAIL TO ACT:
A. No foundation.
1. "Nothing to stand on."
B. They fall immediately.
1. They don't change.
2. They don't repent.
C. Great ruin.
May our God, Lord Jesus ChristβοΈπποΈ, bless and enable us to make a solid, foundational decision in life.
GOD'S WORDS — ROMANS 12:1-2 TEACH US:
1. By the mercies of God, present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. (Rom. 12:1)
2. Do not be conformed to this world (evil), but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect. (Rom. 12:2)
